Candidates flock to Wisconsin

Presidential candidates, family members and other spokespeople are visiting Wisconsin as the campaign kicks into high gear this month.

Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry, the NEA's recommended candidate, is scheduled to visit Milwaukee on Tuesday and hold a rally on the Capitol Square in Madison on Wednesday.

"Wisconsin is a battleground state," WEAC President Stan Johnson said. "The outcome of these elections will directly affect every member's personal and professional lives. It is imperative for members to get involved in these elections. Please urge your friends, families and neighbors to vote for candidates who support great schools, great teachers and staff, and classrooms that work."
